In the middle of October, 1990, I made my first foray into being a nude art model. I had thought about doing this for several years, and an ad in the paper in Savannah, GA, tipped the balance. I worked for a brief time through an agent who had persuaded the art department folks at Armstrong State College that he could provide other models, in addition to his wife and himself, and he would keep 20% (though at first he told me 10%) of the $12/hour fee. My first pose was reclining, in an awkward position that gave me a sore hip for many hours afterward. I didn't know to ask for breaks, so I ended up doing the pose for two 50-minute stretches.
